Apostolic Preterist

AntiChrist

Why does it say AntiChrists and not AntiChrist?

The reason for this is because the Christian churches were deceived in 1830 by John Nelson Darby and then by the Schofield bible reference notes into believing in a future rapture and future end times with a future antichrist. The truth is Jesus said “this generation shall not pass away until all these things be fulfilled.” He also said “some of you will not taste of death until you see me come in my kingdom.” He also said, “you will not finish preaching through the city of Jerusalem till I come.” also He Told the high priest You will see me coming in the clouds of heaven.” Jesus Christ kept his word and it came back in the lifetime of his disciples and saints. It just wasn’t that kind of coming that we have always been taught it was going to be. In the old testament God came many times in the clouds but it was a coming in judgment for the sins of the people. That is exactly the kind of coming back that Jesus Christ came in. It was exactly one generation from when he said it was. Which was 40 years later in 70 AD. In the old testament when he came in the clouds it was symbolic for judgment. He always stirred up another nations army to go against Israel or what ever nation he was upset with. If you would like to know more about this end time belief, its called full Preterism. I have lots of articles on my website which is www.apostolicpreterist.com where you can read even more on this subject, but this article is about the antiChrists. There was never an antiChrist in the bible as in one person. It was many people and according to the following scriptures it was someone who didn’t believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God. Those people just happened to be the first century Israelites except for a remnant of Jews who accepted Christ. Jesus used the Romans to destroy Jerusalem and the Jews living there for rejecting Jesus and killing him and his disciples and saints in 70 A.D. The only people that escaped were his believing Jews and Gentiles that God saved under the new covenant. When he came he also restored his presence back to His church that was lost in the garden of Eden. One he came that established the new covenant and now his people are all the Jews and Gentiles who believe on him and are saved. These are the only antiChrists and antiChrist scriptures I found in the new testament.

1 John 2:18

18Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us

This scripture is talking about the people who had gotten saved and then stepped out of the church back into law and those were the antichrists. It could not have been Nero Cesar as some preterists believe, because he was never in the church to go out of the church. Notice this scripture is directed towards the first century church, because he addresses them as “my little children.” All are for that matter the scriptures were addressing to the first century church. I will highlight the parts of the scripture proving this and notice that they all are talking about how soon his coming is or about antiChrists or AntiChrist spirit being in the world already.

1 John 4:3
but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

2 John 1:7
I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

1 John 2:22
Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist--denying the Father and the Son.

1 Timothy 4:1
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons

1 Peter 4:7
The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.

1 John 4:1
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

The last scripture clearly is addressing the first century believers calling them “dear friends” and then giving them a warning. I also noticed in 1 John 2:22 that if you denied Jesus as being the Christ that you are denying the father and the son, meaning they truly were one if you denied Jesus and in turn it caused you to deny the father. 1 John 4:3 makes it clear that the antiChrists was a spirit and not a person. When you read the rest of the scriptures it becomes clear that the spirit deceived people into not believing that Jesus was the son of God.
